Part of our Crested Collection.
While the Polish breed itself dates back several centuries, the Buff Laced Polish variety is one of the newer recognized color varieties.
Its exact development isn't documented as clearly as some of the older Polish varieties. However, poultry historians generally agree that it was refined in England during the late 1800s to early 1900s through careful selective breeding. Breeders worked to develop a bird with warm buff plumage accented by crisp white lacing, creating a softer and more elegant appearance than the bold contrast seen in the Gold Laced variety.
The result is one of the most visually striking Polish chickens—combining the breed's signature crest with delicate coloring that has made the Buff Laced a favorite among ornamental poultry enthusiasts and backyard flock owners alike.
